Summer at Mount Hood

May 15, 2007 on 12:45 pm

From June 23rd to August 17th Richard Kirby will be at Mount Hood giving presentations and on-snow demonstrations of the vLink Racing Computer.

The vLink racing computer presentation is approximately 30 minutes plus questions/answers and explains the vLink technology, how it is used in race training, and presents some of the results of the work Advanced Racing Computer has done with the USSA and their elite athletes. The on-snow demonstration involves skiers performing four on-ski drills that help the skier/coach to understand the relationship between the feedback and what is happening between their skis and the snow. After the exercises the skiers are welcome to free ski or run gates for a morning with the vLink.

We are also working with a certain number of camps (to be selected based on response to the presentation/demonstration to perform in-depth skier analysis that results in Dartfish strobes of the athlete with the associated forward speed and lateral displacement image-by-image. Results will be provided to the athletes as a set of images. A sample of these images is shown below.

Have a great summer.
